​Disco Royale founder Kevin Olson aka DJ Dexter Fremont got his start in radio at Seattle's prestigious KCMU, before jumping into the Seattle club scene at the legendary Backdoor Ultra Lounge. There, folks routinely queued up around the block to groove to Soul & Tonics, Dexter's weekly excursion into 70's soul and classic R&B. Disco Royale was born one Saturday night when the owner of The Crocodile Cafe enjoyed Kevin's so much she invited him to spin at her club's Holiday Party. Before long Kevin/Dexter was appearing at many of Seattle's premier venues, including The Showbox, Space Needle, Sky Church and scores of other top rooms. With a vast music library and deep musical knowledge, Disco Royale fills a need for folks seeking a smart alternative to cookie-cutter DJs and predictable playlists.
