Traditions Gown Cleaning and  Preservation

In order to preserve your wedding gown over time you should have it cleaned and preserved as soon after the wedding as possible.  Most damage to gowns are a result of being improperly stored in plastic, in a cedar chest or just simply hung on a hangar and put at the back of a closet. Your wedding dress needs to be inspected by a professional dry cleaner for stains seen and unseen such as cake and icing stains, red wine, white wine etc and then treated accordingly. The best protection for your dress is to store it in a box with acid free materials rather than hanging it.
